In the recent research on global smart city, ABI Research has reveal the major trend of application of AI on security cameras.
Besides the emerging camera with AI chipset, the major workloads on AI processing for security cameras are performed by either DL models hosted in the cloud, offered by video analytics vendors such as Sentry AI, SenseTime, Ipsotek, and icentana. Both deployment methods come with their own respective strengths and weaknesses. Two technology trends will likely further catalyze the deployment of DL-based machine vision.
