COVID-19 has grown into a global public health and economic crisis that has affected the $90 trillion global economy in nearly a century beyond anything witnessed. Even as the world is transitioning away from the shadows of COVID-19, some of the positive changes it induced will stay.
Businesses around the world have been trying to do their best to alleviate the COVID-19 fears and create safe environments in and around their buildings. AIs emerged as a useful tool in the fight against COVID-19. For example, stores and buildings utilized video analytics software with embedded AIs to monitor the amount of people inside and receive alert if overcrowding occurred. Even as social restrictions are being lifted in many countries, regular sanitary operations continue, likely at a stricter and most efficient level. Advancement in deep learning AI capabilities allow real-time monitoring occupancy level, crowd density, loitering in public areas, and frequencies of cleaning operations.
